Assistance to Displaced Persons
Home is where safety and love are.
Fleeing from war, millions of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes. Packing their entire lives into a single suitcase, to the sound of explosions, they set out into the unknown. In Uzhhorod, a relatively safe place, nearly half a million displaced people found refuge.
In the early days of the war, the head of the foundation, Yosyp Esenov, personally took in nearly 50 people. He accommodated half of them in office premises and the others in his own home. Converting the office space into a living area had to be done quickly.
We are glad that these people have had a roof over their heads for two years and are provided with everything they need. What makes us happiest is that we can allow them to see a different life, one without explosions, shelling, and constant fear.
